Application and recipe

What are cannabis cookies?

Cannabis cookies are biscuits that are enriched with cannabis preparations such as cannabis butter or oil. They are a tasty and creative way to experience the benefits of cannabis without smoking it. These biscuits offer a combination of sweet flavour and relaxing effects - a perfect blend of pleasure and well-being. While consuming cannabis through food takes longer to be felt, the effects often last longer, providing a lasting experience. And best of all, you can customise the dosage to suit your preferences, making these cookies an ideal choice for everyone.

Why cannabis cookies?

Discretion: Unlike other forms of cannabis consumption, the consumption of cannabis cookies remains inconspicuous. There are no clouds of smoke or vapour, and the odour also remains minimal. This feature makes the biscuits the perfect choice if you want to enjoy the effects of cannabis without anyone noticing.

Slow and long-lasting effects: Unlike other methods of consumption, such as smoking or vaping, the effects of cannabis edibles unfold slowly and steadily. You will usually feel the first effects after around 30 to 90 minutes, but they will last longer than with other types of consumption - sometimes several hours. This means you can reap the benefits over a longer period of time without having to keep topping up.

Versatile enjoyment: Those who enjoy snacking will love the combination of cannabis and sweet biscuits. This special preparation allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds - the relaxing effect of cannabis and the sweet pleasure of a freshly baked biscuit. You can also incorporate your own baking preferences, for example by adding extra ingredients such as chocolate or nuts to give your cookies even more character.</p

Cannabis cocoa dosage

The dosage of cannabis in your cocoa is crucial to the experience. Always start with a low dose and increase it slowly as needed. For beginners, 1-2 mg of THC or CBD per serving is ideal, while occasional users can choose 2-5 mg. Experienced users often reach for 5-10 mg.

For cannabis butter or oil, 0.5-1 g corresponds to a weak effect (1-2 mg THC), 1-2 g to a medium effect (approx. 5 mg THC), and 2-3 g to a strong effect (approx. 10 mg THC). Wait 1-2 hours after ingestion to assess the effects. Pay attention to how your body reacts and adjust the dosage accordingly.

The recipe for cannabis cookies

Ingredients:

200 g butter (or cannabis butter for a stronger effect)

150 g sugar

1 egg

300 g flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 pinch of salt

2-3 tbsp cannabis butter (be sure to adjust the dosage depending on the desired effect)

Optional: 100 g chocolate chips or nuts of your choice

Preparation:

If you don't already have cannabis butter, you can easily make it yourself. Melt 200g of butter in a small saucepan and then add 2-3g of decarboxylated cannabis (you will need to heat the cannabis in the oven at a low temperature beforehand to activate the desired effects - around 30-40 minutes at 110-120°C). Then allow the mixture to cool and strain through a fine sieve to remove the plant parts.

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter (or cannabis butter) together with the sugar until well combined and creamy. Add the egg and mix in thoroughly.

In another bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt and then slowly fold into the butter-sugar-egg mixture.

If you haven't used cannabis butter yet, you can now mix it in along with your optional ingredients such as chocolate chips or nuts.

Shape the finished dough into small balls and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Make sure to leave enough space between the biscuits, as they will separate during baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.

Remove the cookies from the oven and leave to cool completely on a wire rack - even if it's hard to ignore the delicious aroma!

Important tips for the perfect result

Note dosage: Always start with a small amount of cannabis butter, especially if you have no experience with cannabis edibles. It's easy to adjust the amount later, but if you use too much, the effects may become too intense.

Storage: Store your cannabis cookies in an airtight container to preserve freshness. If you want to store the biscuits for a longer period of time, you can also freeze them. This will keep them edible for weeks.

Slow effects: Remember that the effects of cannabis cookies take longer to kick in than other methods of consumption. Wait at least an hour before eating more to feel the full effects.</p

Why should you bake your own cannabis cookies?

Control over the ingredients: When you prepare your cannabis cookies yourself, you know exactly what's in your biscuits. You can determine the quality of the cannabis and the dosage yourself, which gives you more control over the experience.

Fun baking: It's simply a joy to bake yourself, especially when you sweeten it with a special twist like cannabis. Experimenting with ingredients and the creative freedom make the whole thing even more fun.

Customisation: You can adapt the recipe at any time to refine it to your taste. Be it with additional spices, dried fruit or other ingredients - there are countless ways to create your own unique cannabis cookie.</p
